Thank You for Making BASS 2024 Possible!

We’re pleased to share that the 4th edition of the BASS (Behavioural Analysis of System Security) workshop at the ARES 2024 conference has concluded. This event brought together brilliant minds and groundbreaking research, and we couldn’t have done it without the help of many dedicated people. BASS 2024 was organised by people working on the ASCOT project.

Highlights from the Keynote

Our workshop began with an engaging keynote by Luca Ardito on “Behavioural Modelling for Sustainability in Smart Homes”. Luca talked about how smart home technologies can drive sustainability. He explained how behavioural modelling, predictive analytics, and gamification can boost user engagement and promote sustainable practices.

Luca highlighted ways these technologies can save energy, reduce carbon footprints, and improve our quality of life. He also discussed privacy concerns and shared strategies for data protection and transparency, emphasizing the importance of regulations like GDPR.

Engaging Sessions

After the keynote, we had two insightful sessions:

  1. Security Tools and Techniques
  2. Threat Detection and Analysis

These sessions featured excellent papers and presentations on the latest research and developments in system security. The quality of the work presented and the discussions that followed were truly inspiring.

A big thank you goes to all the authors who presented their research. Your contributions were the heart of this workshop, and we appreciate the knowledge and insights you shared.

You can find more details about the papers on the BASS workshop webpage.
