The Third AsCoT-SCE Project Meeting Has Just Concluded in Bertinoro, Hosted by FOSAD 2025

The third and final meeting of the AsCoT-SCE project has just taken place in Bertinoro. We warmly thank the FOSAD summer school and Alessandro Aldini for hosting and organizing this event.

This meeting marks the closing chapter of our project, which officially ends at the end of September 2025. Over the past months, we’ve had the chance to meet in Pisa (April 2025) and now in Bertinoro, building on the work that began with our kickoff in Turin.

As part of the project’s outreach, in this year’s edition of FOSAD, the AsCoT-SCE principal investigator, Andrea Saracino, participated as an invited speaker, teaching students about access control technologies and other key technologies central to the AsCoT-SCE project. This provided a valuable opportunity to share our research with the next generation of cybersecurity researchers.

Throughout the project, we have worked on developing solutions for compliance in IoT, focusing on methodologies and tools to define, assess, and certify the cybersecurity and safety risks of IoT devices. While our efforts concentrated mainly on smart home environments, our results can be generalized to many other IoT-driven settings.

Alongside our research, we also developed code and made it publicly available on GitHub, ensuring that our results can be reused and extended by the wider community.

As we wrap up, we are proud to share that our research output includes 9 articles published in international conferences and Q1 journals.

We are grateful to all partners for their collaboration and contributions throughout this journey.
